Four Brothers Go To War VIII

Our Story ends sadly with the youngest brother — the salter's boy — twice unlucky through no act of his own.

Dame War killed his soul, shattered it on the battlefield. The pieces scattered hither and yon, like random stars behind the constellations. His bewildered flesh returned home alone, soul-less.

This affliction caused such distress that one night he murdered his sweetheart and their baby girl.

The man fled and spent the rest of his days wandering endless roads, searching through his stone for invisible rooms and stairways.
